MEMO DETAILS:
Staff received a request from Duke Energy for an easement at West Pinehurst Community Park to provide service to home lots on the other side of Chicken Plant Road.
Attached is the easement agreement which requires Council approval and a ROW map showing the proposed location. Duke would need to remove two pines and some smaller scrub oaks to create the 30' clearing for the power lines and poles.
Staff has met on site with representatives from Duke Energy and do not believe granting the easement will impact current use or future development of the site.
Duke Energy has provided responses to questions prior to the September 13th Council meeting, and will also have representatives present to answer any additional questions as necessary.
